A fire broke out at Marina Bay Sands (MBS) on Oct. 28.
No injuries were reported.
The fire likely originated from welding works.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said they were alerted to the fire at 1 Bayfront Avenue at about 3:40pm.
The fire involved a plastic mat on the 55th floor of MBS Hotel Tower 3.
It was extinguished by MBS staff using a hose reel before SCDF arrived.
Thick, black smoke was seen billowing from the rooftop of Marina Bay Sands Hotel, according to videos posted online.
A MBS spokesperson said the small fire occurred in an area not accessible by guests.
Business continued as usual, the spokesperson confirmed.
Preliminary findings indicate that the fire had likely originated from welding works conducted in the vicinity, SCDF said.
